Terms of Use

Short version: the guides and tools here are free to use and free to be wrong about your specific site. They are general information and automated estimates, not a professional engagement. Nothing on this site creates a client relationship, and no outcome is guaranteed, because nobody can guarantee how Google will reassess a website.

Last updated 4 September 2026. This site is operated by Kawsar Ahmmed, trading as SEO Algorithm Recovery. Using the site means accepting these terms.

The free tools

  • They produce estimates, not diagnoses. Why: Every tool works from dates, totals or your own answers. None of them can see your site, read your content, or check your Search Console for a manual action. A match is a lead to investigate.
  • Correlation is not causation. Why: A confirmed update rolling out on your drop date does not prove it caused the drop. Sites also fall during rollouts for technical reasons, and roughly one in five cases turns out that way.
  • Acting on a tool result is your decision. Why: Deleting content, uploading a disavow file or restructuring a site on the basis of an automated estimate can make things worse. Several tools say so directly, and the warnings are there for a reason.
  • Availability is not guaranteed. Why: The tracker depends on Google’s status feed and the sensor on a third-party data provider. Either can be unavailable, and figures can be delayed or briefly wrong.

The methodology page documents the sources and limits of every figure on the site.

No guarantee of results

Search rankings are determined by Google, not by me. No article, tool or paid engagement here promises a specific ranking, traffic level, recovery percentage or timeframe.

Historical outcomes are described honestly, including that around one in ten engagements does not recover because the cause is structural. Past outcomes do not predict future ones, and any figure quoted about my own work is a rounded proportion from a self-selected set of clients rather than a controlled study.

No professional relationship

Reading this site, using the tools or subscribing to alerts does not make you a client. A client relationship begins only with an agreed, written engagement.

Nothing here is legal, financial or business advice. Content touching regulated areas, such as YMYL guidance, describes how Google treats those sites and is not advice about operating in those sectors.

Your responsibilities

  • Only submit data you are entitled to use. Why: If you paste a client’s Search Console export into a tool, that is between you and them. The data never leaves your browser, but the permission question is still yours.
  • Do not attempt to overload or automate against the site. Why: The alert signup and the tools are rate limited. Scripted abuse gets blocked.
  • Do not republish content wholesale. Why: Quote a passage with attribution and a link, by all means. Copying whole guides is both a copyright issue and, ironically, a Google spam policy violation.

Intellectual property

The written content, tools and original data on this site are the property of Kawsar Ahmmed. Update dates and Google’s own statements are facts and belong to nobody, so use them freely. If you cite a figure produced here, such as the average gap between core updates, a link back is appreciated so readers can check the method.

Google, Search Console and related names are trademarks of Google LLC. This site is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Google.

Limitation of liability

The site and its tools are provided as they are, without warranty of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for losses arising from decisions made on the basis of free content or tool output, including lost rankings, lost traffic or lost revenue.

Paid engagements are governed by their own written agreement, which takes precedence over this page for that work.

External links

Links to Google documentation, published studies and other resources are provided so you can check claims at the source. No responsibility is taken for the content of external sites, and no commission is earned from any link on this site. Tools are named on merit only, as set out in the editorial policy.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the site changes. The date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means accepting the revised terms.
